She seemed kind of... sad, at first? But she didn't mind it in the end. I didn't get the chance to explain to her that I wanted to share, though, so I just wound up taking the leftovers with me.

Ahh? Did something happen that cut your fated encounter short?

Well, it's more that... she was kind of being my tour guide, so I had to carry all the food with me as we went around Penacony instead of just sitting around to eat.

Not exactly bad. But you really should express yourself more freely. If you'd said you wanted to share it, that misunderstanding wouldn't have happened. Right?

So anyway- You were lead around Penacony by this mysterious girl you-have-yet-to-name, and then?

[Stelle debates on telling the rest of the story...

Then can I at least have her name? How else am I going to ensure your special friend is treated well should I ever meet her?

{ he's just digging for tea - she obviously doesn't have to say if she doesn't want to. }

Oh, her name is Firefly.

[That part she doesn't have to keep a secret.]

{ duly noted. thankfully he has no reason to think he should be digging further on that. }

Then I'll be sure to remember that name. Should I ever meet her, I promise to ensure she's well looked after.

{ there's a soft clang as he lifts his hand up, a coin dancing across his fingers. while most of the money here is kept digital, he has made a point of getting a real one, not one he can create at will to ensure the result is as realistic as possible. }

[There's just something about actual coins that is so much more satisfying, after all, and they both know this.

Nodding, she calls it out easily:]

{ the clink as he first throws the coin from one hand to another is a pretty satisfying sound as is the glint of gold visible as flashes between each catch. he only does it a few times, for a few brief moments, before he flicks it up into the air. on landing, it falls against his palm and is swiftly flipped over to rest against the back of his hand. his eyes don't leave hers through the entire manoeuvre, pausing once he's set up and ready for the reveal. }

Then let's see what the coin has to say.

{ honestly he doesn't bother even glancing down to look at it, he'll just lift the hand covering the coin, where it is now resting there with the heads side up. }

[She smiles a little bit--sure, she knows this was really all for show, but it's still entertaining to watch.

And it at least gives her a little of motivation to move forward.]
