> Winter seasonal powers
> Temporary tattoo: Door Creation and Retrocognition
> Canon powers:
His luck is unnatural, though it centers around him and not other people. For other people it's more like a black hole, he can be extremely lucky (we're talking if he plays russian roulette, without fail, he could shoot 5 times and not reach the bullet. it's also stupidly likely it'd jam on the 6th shot - think Nagito Komaeda from Danganronpa if you're familiar with the series but on steroids) but he may suffer to reach that point, along with the people around him. It's a blurse.
Aventurine is a shielder who utilises follow up attacks in combat based on damage his teammates do and damage done to said teammates. Alongside this, he also has his Aventurine Cornerstone which is a piece of an emanator in the hsr universe. This grants him extra power when he uses it.
Boothill
> Basic autumn powers plus: Absolute Balance, Act as Lightning Rod, Wood/Metal manipulation, Telepathy (group), Earthquakes
> Canon powers: Boothill's canon powers are not too crazy, he uses his gun and does damage to a single enemy that he taunts into a stand off. (much cowboy very wow)
Castorice
> Basic winter powers plus manipulate darkness
> Canon powers: Castorice's touch is deathly to anyone not already dead or inorganic. She also has shadow hands of sorts that she can use to restrain things, lift things without touching them herself. On top of that she also summons a massive dragon, amongst other things.
Firefly
> Basic spring powers
> Canon powers: Firefly will be coming as SAM, which is what she uses in combat. This form gives her access to powerful fire damage to enemies. She attacks by consuming and restoring her own HP for extra damage.
Phainon
> Basic summer powers + Walk through fire
> Canon powers: Phainon, canonically, can technically do more than listed on combat page as he (spoilering for anyone not up to date in hsr and doesn't want spoilering) has fought an aeon and can pretty much rain down a whole sky of destruction. However, he won't use it unless absolutely necessary as most of the cast do not know about all of this.
Stelle
> Bringing:
- Hammerspace purse
- Treasure glasses
- Enchanted whetstone
- Out of Body Experience
- Silencer Orb
- Glitter Force Doki Doki
- I Wear My Sunglasses at Night
- Linking Diadem

- Dragon Ring
- Red String Ring (connected with Firefly)
- Linking Diadem,
- Storm Daggers
- Water Gunbrella
- Senbonzakura
- A Power Apple
- Life-Saving Rope
- Bracelet of Repression
> Spring seasonal powers + dragon blessed powers etc listed on that page
> Canon powers: Stelle's combat powers come in 4 flavours depending on which path she chooses to use at the time, so I'm linking the whole thing for clarity. We'll try and make sure it's clear where it is coming from if she uses anything from here. It's worth noting for Stelle's powers it won't include anything regarding Clockie and/or Mem as they are technically their own entity that aren't in game at the moment.
Tribbie
> Basic spring powers
> Canon powers: Tribbie is a support unit by buffing allies and dealing damage to enemies. She also does follow up attacks when allies use their Ultimate attack for extra damage.
Danger level: High
Darker themes: Also okay if not on opt-out list
Opt-outs: No character death for Phainon and Boothill, the rest of us don't mind. No permanent injury for Phainon. Other opt-outs are burning buildings and yandere tropes, illness/plague, tooth/nail trauma.

Part 1
Date: 2026-05-18 07:56 pm (UTC)The quest begins with a Professor at the town's local University who has lost some items in the forest when they were collecting samples. The item in question is precious to him not for monetary value, but it's something that is close to his heart. The item is a letter from his long lost wife, someone who was lost at sea some years prior. He's willing to pay a hefty finders fee if they can go to the location on the map, bypassing any danger on the way, and find the letter in the file that must have dropped out of his bag there.
There's some back and forth amongst the party members who feel like this lacks challenge, but overall they're overruled by those who want to help the guy out. Those who are compassionate and can sympathise that he likely doesn't want to lose something precious.
He has, however, called on this group due to the people in it. He hopes that with a druid, a cleric of nature and a ranger in the group you'll be successful of tracking down his belongings. He'll offer an article of clothing that smells like himself too, in case it helps trying to find the item. He also warns of some rumours about the forest, that people who have stayed there overnight have returned having seen horrors so traumatising they've become mute. Some of them are still seeing doctors for help, no one knows what happened to them, but no one stays after late hours anymore for that reason.
He'll advise they visit the local care home where the two patients he knows of are still receiving treatment, but warns their caregivers may be against them asking too many questions in case it reverses any progress they've made. Plus, with them now mute the most they may be able to offer is if the caregivers themselves have seen or heard anything that may be of help.
The group decides to call there before leaving, and will go out and gather supplies before making their way over.
The Bard is successful in charming the first caregiver who looks solemn while telling the group about Damian, the man under her care. She says he has been muttering to himself at times, often heard making clicking noises deep in the back of his throat that almost doesn't sound human. She'll say she's never heard anyone make the noise before, and it's only when he's in a trance like state. He'll also hum to himself sometimes, something that sounds like a sad lullaby. She'll then lead them to her colleague, who agrees to help answer any questions about her patient Claire. She tells the group that Claire has drawn a very child like image of a monster, each time with the same appearance. She doesn't make noises like Damian but she does go into the same trance like state where she slowly starts to dance to some imaginary music.
They'll tell the group that the two were a couple who were out in the forest with a group of their friends on a camping trip, but their friends never returned with them and when authorities went to check all they found were traces of blood where there had been a struggle--but not very much.
The group sets off, but now it's the afternoon so they plan to find a space to camp for the night and take turns minding the camp and keeping watch. Thankfully the night is fairly uneventful for them. However, by the next afternoon as they head deeper into the thick of the forest they run into a group of Chimera bears. The Paladin and Fighter decide to make a competition out of it, who can land the last hit first wins. There's a back and forth as these creatures manage to land in some hits, but to a surprise to them both they're out performed by the Barbarian going into a rage and smashing the final Chimera bear with their weapon.
After having a short rest, the group continues on their way to reach the site the Professor mentioned...
Part 2
Date: 2026-07-03 10:02 am (UTC)The Cleric speaks to the birds and small animals in the area to ask if they've seen items, while the Ranger and their beast companion look for tracks and scents in the area. The druid laments the lack of equilibrium in the area, as though there's an eerie presence that shouldn't be welcomed. As though something nearby is unnatural to the forest. Speaking to the beast companion allows the group to realise there are multiple scents in the area... not just the faded one of the Professor. The Professor's backpack is found on the ground beneath a log that had been clearly used as part of a camp setup before, but its contents are scattered around, and the druid notes a strange dark smoke lingering on objects from the bag. The dark smoke is something unnatural, something they haven't come across before. They warn this may not be as simple as they thought, and to remain cautious. Since they have a starting point the group agree to spread out and cover the area before them.
Of course the Paladin and Fighter yet again make a challenge out of it. The decide whoever finds the most clues will decide the winner of this round. The rest of the group sigh, and decide to just leave them to it. Between them they uncover a set of human footprints, hidden by overgrowth that seem to have been left after the doctor was in the area. Between the Druid and Ranger, they can work out they've been there maybe 2 days, and while they didn't take Damien or Claire's measurements the sizing doesn't seem to match theirs - it means this is either another victim or someone linked to what is going on here.
With the Paladin and Fighter falling behind, the rest of the group decide to look at their options. Their quest is complete as they have secured the letter, but since there are people becoming victims here they will continue their investigation and follow the trail.
So they set off, and finally around fifteen or so minutes the Fighter and Paladin catch up. No one says a word, but I think we can all imagine they look like they've been doing more than looking for clues. (Aventurine will narrate this very offhandedly, but absolutely means to hint it as exactly as it sounds.)
When the group make their way to a clearing they cross a horde of undead. The undead stumble forward, and while normally they would be caught unaware, they seem to be able to detect the group's presence so no ambush is possible - initiating combat.
The Bard goes first, striking at the undead with cutting words. The undead groan and stagger, but still keep walking forward. The fighter chooses to strike as well, hitting a blow to one of the undead near them. The Ranger commands her beast companion to attack, showing no mercy as its teeth bite into the undead and takes an arm. Then the combat pauses as the Barbarian's turn begins, Sunday holding his character sheet in confusion. He asks how many times he can rage, and if it's worth doing it again now. This is where Aventurine asks "What does it say under abilities on your sheet, angel?" Thankfully Sunday is too busy squinting at the information (3 times per long rest) and doesn't notice the pet name, instead thinking over his options. Aventurine is not so lucky, as Boothill laughs loudly and sets off a whole round of banter. It gives Sunday time to think it over, who holds off for now and instead chooses to just attack anyway, his strike landing hard on the undead so it's practically hobbling.
The Druid changes form, charging at the closest undead to attack and swipe at them with their claws.
The Cleric opts to boost the Paladin, guiding their strike to be true. Then, when the Paladin attacks they hit a huge blow, knocking the undead off its feet before it falls limp on the floor. The battle goes back and forth for a while until all of the undead are down, and the group take a short rest before continuing on their way.
------
After their break and the Bard has given them a motivational story they make their way further into the forest until they come to a clearing. There are patches of blood along the group, along with streaks like something has been dragged. When they step closer to investigate they find the same traces of that sand-like smoke....
